Continuing Education Class Information
All classes are approved by the New Jersey Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors to assist contractors in meeting the 34-hour continuing education requirement for the upcoming LICENSE RENEWAL DEADLINE OF March 31st 2027.
New Jersey licensed electricians are required to complete 34 hours of approved classes as follows: 24 hours on topics of your choice, which can be online or in person. In addition to the 24 hours, licensed electricians are also required to complete a 10-hour IN PERSON class consisting of 9 hours on the new code, and 1 hour of Business Law for a total of 34 hours of continuing education.

Monday October 20, 3 hours from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Important Changes to the NEC.
It's time to refresh the 2023 changes to NEC. During this renewal period the State of NJ will be adopting the 2023 NEC. We will keep you posted on the time frame which 2023 NEC will be adopted.
Wednesday October 22, 5 hours from 5 PM to 10 PM. Swimming Pools / Hot Tubs / Spas and Jeopardy vol. 3.
In this class we will review article 680 (the requirements for swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas). Then test your NEC code knowledge with NEC Jeopardy vol. 3.
Monday November 10, 3 hours from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. GFCI / AFCI.
This class will cover Ground Fault and Arc Fault requirements, including recent and upcoming changes.
Wednesday November 12, 5 hours from 5 PM to 10 PM. Fire Alarm Systems and Smoke Detector Requirements / Surge Protection / Fault Current / EV Charging Equipment.
This class will cover fire alarm wiring requirements and device placement, basic surge protection, fault current, and EV charger requirements.
Monday December 1, 3 hours from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Ampacity
Review of ampacity and all the different code sections that relate to ampacity.
Wednesday December 3, 5 hours from 5 PM to 10 PM. Special Conditions and Jeopardy vol. 1.
This class will cover different types of occupancies in a typical township, which an electrical contractor can be called to work in.
Then test your code knowledge with NEC Jeopardy vol.2.
ADDITIONAL CLASSES WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR WINTER 2026, FALL 2026,
AND WINTER 2027
